Cannon Society Update
To the Cannon Brothers & Sisters,

David Larson, MD
To the Cannon Brothers & Sisters,

I am looking forward to seeing you all in-person in San Diego, California for the AAPS 100th Celebration! We are anticipating a wonderful dinner and appreciate your continued support of the Canon Student Scholarship.

The dinner this year will be at Mister A's Restaurant in downtown San Diego. The patio will be the site of our reception of cocktails, champagne, and passed hors d'oerves of prime beef sliders, lobster salad spoons, and chicken dumplings. With the salad of garden greens and seasonal vegetables with a choice of prime beef Chateaubriand or a Seafood Paella. For dessert there is a chocolate blackout cake. This wonderful meal is an all-inclusive $125/person.

Our own Robert (Robbie) Pearl, MD, a clinical professor of plastic surgery at Stanford, former CEO of the Permanente Medical Group, and best-selling author, will speak about "The Culture of Medicine: What I Learned from my Teachers". As a bonus, Paul and Barbara Schnur will memorialize the evening with a very special group photo.

The restaurant is a 15-minute ride from the meeting's hotel; a shuttle service will provide transportation to and from Mister A's. The seating for this meal is limited, so I strongly suggest you register for the meeting ASAP to assure seating at the dinner. Click the button below to reserve your seat at the Cannon Dinner.

In addition to the dinner this is the 5th year of this unique Cannon initiative that is growing in popularity with medical students with an interest in plastic surgery. I am sure that the more you hear about this Cannon-driven opportunity, the more you will want to make a $500 (tax deductible) contribution to support a Cannon Student Scholar. These dollars, plus benefits provided by the AAPS Board of Directors, provide the awarded student with meeting registration, lodging, and food/beverage during the meeting; this includes the President's Dinner/Dance on Monday evening. The students provide their transportation costs.

Your $500 (or more) is truly an investment in the next generation of new members; your donation provides an exposure to what plastic surgery is, as we know and love it. This year we have had a total of 151 applicants for the 2022 Annual Meeting; in years past, we have selected only 25 or 30 recipients, all based on the number of $500 donations from Cannon members. By donating, you are given the privilege of ranking (in January 2022) the candidates. You can support this wonderful program now by submitting $500, or more, to bring a student to San Diego.

Donations can be made online clicking the button below or you can send a check to:
