Dear Colleagues,

I hope that after reading this Newsletter, you will be as excited as I am about the vitality of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons. I would like to share a number of occurrences within the last few months that will add to the impact of our organization, both academically as well as nationally and internationally. Read more.

2013 Annual Meeting Call for Abstracts

The deadline is approaching to submit your abstract for the 92nd Annual Meeting of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons to be held April 20-23, 2013 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Academic Scholar Fund Drive

The Academic Scholar Philanthropic Drive was announced by Dr. Bill Kuzon at the American Association of Plastic Surgeons 2012 Annual Meeting. The scholarship was initiated in 1992 to recognize young plastic surgery researchers of great promise. The $60,000 stipend over a two-year period was designed for salary support only for these promising scientists freeing them up from clinical responsibilities. The prestige accrued by the young scientists has far outweighed the dollar-given funds. Read more.
